Share the greatest gift we’ll ever know/A gift of love –Olivia Newton-John, “A Gift Of Love” (2007)
If you think gift-giving is hard at home, try doing it abroad. There are actually destination-specific guidelines you should follow to avoid offending others while gift-giving. Here a few traditions to know when you travel:
China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan
When you offer someone a gift in these places your gift may be refused up to three times. Asians don’t wish to appear greedy. If offered a gift you should initially refuse it as well. Once a gift is accepted, the giver should thank him/her.
